Get wicked ‘n’ weird with local artist Dirk Hays during his Born Weird Art Show Opening at Diesel Filling Station at 7pm [check out our Shop Around Feature of Hays here]! The Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre kicks off their Movies, Bands and Brew event with a performance by Jerome Newton & The Band Who Fell to Earth and a screening of Jim Henson’s LABYRINTH (1986), all starting at 7pm! Rev it up at Motorheads with Kool Kat Hot Rod Walt & The Psycho DeVilles! The Grindhouse Players present their adaptation of 2003 thriller PHONE BOOTH at Pulp Atlanta, through June 22! Departure pays tribute to Journey at the Dixie Tavern! Time-Warp it up at The Plaza Theater as they continue their tradition of screening THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (1975) every Friday night, featuring the live cast of Lips Down on Dixie at midnight!

Saturday, June 8

Haunt on down to the Historic Oakland Cemetery for the 9th annual Tunes from the Tombs (12p – 8pm), featuring 4 retro-tastic stages of live music! Every first and third Mondays are Big Band Nights at Café 290, featuring Joe Gransden and his amazing 16-piece orchestra playing jazz and swing standards in the tradition of The Glen Miller Orchestra and other legendary groups.  Second and fourth Mondays are Bumpin the Mango, ‘The groove that makes you want to move!’

Every first Wednesday is the Graveyard Tavern’s Graveyard Swing Night, featuring the swingin’ jazz and boogie-woogie sounds of the Savoy Kings!
